Another UFC car has snuck up on us, featuring two cats making their Octagon return after a few years, a fight that is no long to determine Georges St. Pierre’s next opponent, and Cro Cop…
RICH FRANKLIN vs. VITOR BELFORT – Vitor Belfort hasn’t been in the UFC since a 2005 loss to Tito Ortiz, and his record has been mixed (though he has been undefeated in his last four fights). Rich Franklin I try not to go against unless he’s fighting Anderson Silva. This one has all the making of a three round war, which in the end I see Franklin having his hand raised.
MIRKO CRO COP vs. JUNIOR DOS SANTOS – I’m still waiting to see the Mirko Cro Cop folks have been telling me aboot that will kick your face off. So far in the UFC he’s lost twice, and won after poking a guy in the eye (albeit accidentally). I’ll taking Mirko in a not very impressive win.
MARTIN KAMPMANN vs. PAUL DALEY – This was supposed to determine the next contender for Georges St. Pierre’s welterweight title, but those plans got scrapped when Martin Kampmann’s original opponent Mike Swick got himself all injured and stuff. Instead, he’ll fight Paul Daley. Yes, THE Paul Daley. Kampmann wins.
JOSH KOSCHECK vs. FRANK TRIGG – Neither guy has fought since February and both were at one time or another considered to be near the top of their division. There’s just one main different, that I can see, between the two…I FUCKING HATE JOSH KOSCHECK. I’ll take Frank Trigg in this one.
TYSON GRIFFIN vs. HERMES FRANCA – Meh. Tyson Griffin.
