Boots to Asses: The Rock is My 2012 Life Coach

“All gas, fuck the brakes in 2012.” – The Rock

The Rock (I refuse to call him Dwayne Johnson), over the past year, has been using his social media network to share inspirational quotes and messages. Whether or not he’s coming up with them himself or stealing them from a calendar or fortune cookie generator…because I’d rather the smack not be layed down on my candy ass, we’ll just say they’re all The Rock originals.

All joking aside, they are really good, and as people look to the new year as a “clean slate” to make the changes you need to make in your life, I thought a few of these were worth sharing…

HAPPY NEW YEAR FAMILY! Stay strong, positive and grateful. 2012 IS OURS!

Respect ain’t earnin’ itself. Get out and earn it.

Things may be tough – jobs, family, pressure. Keep your faith and keep pushing forward. Things do change.

In 1995 I had $7 bucks in my pocket and knew two things: I was broke as hell and one day I won’t be. You can achieve anything.

It ain’t how you start – it’s how you finish.

7 years, 18 movies later, finally…this is the moment I’ve lived for. What do you live for?

No one has ever drowned in sweat.

Just had a good talk with God. Told me if we want something – work for it and he’ll meet us halfway.

Be the type of person that when your feet touch the floor in the morning the devil says, “Aww shit… they’re up”

Always make time to have fun.

When you walk up to opportunities door – don’t knock it. Kick that bitch in, smile and introduce yourself.

We won’t ever be perfect – but in the process we’ll find our greatness.

All successes begin with self-discipline. It starts with you.

Hump day to some – to us its “Wednesday’s gettin’ its ass kicked and Thursday’s next in line”

“The best curve on your body is your smile.”

Humble. Hungry. Relentless.

We all inspire each other. Stay strong.

Success: Attack fast. Attack hard. Grab by throat. Don’t let go.

“The moment. You own it. You better never let it go.”
