When Your Hall of Fame Father Pwns You on Twitter

One of the worst things to happen to me is my mother getting more active on social media.  Jokes get questioned.  I second guess status updates because “my mama’s watching.”  And at least one a week I’ll get a text message asking “are you allowed to say that?”

Thankfully, I am not a top college prospect who shares a name with my hall of fame father, because when my mom calls me out on social media it doesn’t then trend on social media…

Don’t get me wrong.  The donuts from the hole in the wall bakery by my house are always better than Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme, so I definitely agree with him there. But outside of that, I thought this was nice (overly publicized) moment between a father and a son.

When everyone’s kid seems to be a “precious little snow flake” these days (who seems to be even more precious depending on how famous their parents are), I thought this was a nice reminder that you’re never too special to be reminded to stay humble by your dad.
